Material

  • Yellow flower sticky rice: 400 – 500 gr

  • Sugar
  • Some roasted sesame

Step 1: Prepare ingredients

  You treat the glutinous rice thoroughly until it is in the water, then drain the water and put it in new water to soak for 3-4 hours or overnight for the rice grains to soften.

 How to make fragrant green pandan leaf juice: After buying pandan leaves, you wash them, cut them into chunks, put them in the machine, and grind them until smooth. Then, comb through a sieve to get the juice. Note; Leave a few pandan leaves to put in the pot when cooking sticky rice.

 Take out the rice, wave to drain, sprinkle with a little cooking oil and salt. This step will help your finished sticky rice will be richer and more glossy in taste.

Step 2: Conduct processing

 You put glutinous rice in the rice cooker with pandan leaf juice and a few pandan leaves and stir it up a bit. Note: if the pandan leaf juice is too little, add more boiling water so that the water level in the pot touches the surface of the rice.

Material

  • Coconut milk: 250 ml
  • Sugar
  • Shredded coconut: 100 gr
  • Some roasted sesame
  • Salt, cooking oil

Steps to make green bean pandan sticky rice

Step 1: Prepare ingredients

 You also treat glutinous rice and soak rice in the same way as above. In addition, with green beans, you also wash them clean and soak overnight to soften.

 Take out the green beans, drain the water and put in the steamer of the steamed rice cooker (you should add a little salt to make the beans rich). Then, let the beans cool, then put in a blender with 50 ml of coconut milk + 50 gr of sugar, grind until smooth. After grinding, you should put this mixture into a non-stick pan, slurry until the beans are thick, then turn off the heat.

  Take out the rice and drain it, put it in a rice cooker with pandan leaf juice, a little salt and a little boiling water so that the water in the pot covers the surface of the rice. Then, turn on the cooking until the pot automatically switches to warming mode, then add the remaining coconut milk with about 70 grams of sugar, stir the sticky rice to prevent the bottom of the pot from burning. Close the lid and continue to cook for about 10-15 minutes until the sticky rice is cooked.

– Note: Adding coconut water about 20 minutes before it is cooked helps the sticky rice seeds stretch and have a characteristic coconut aroma.

Step 3: Finish the finished product

 You put the sticky rice on a plate, spread a layer of green beans on top and add grated coconut and roasted sesame to complete the sticky rice dish. If you have a mold at home, you can put green beans first and then add sticky rice next, compress the sticky rice in the mold, then gently remove the mold, sprinkle more grated coconut and roasted sesame on top.
